Preparing Your Home for Showing

Following are some basic suggestions on preparing your home for showings. By choosing us to sell your home, we will prepare a report giving you specific suggestions on staging your home for the quickest sale.

1. Make it bright.

A home is more appealing when you let the light shine in. Open drapes and turn on all lights before showing.

2. Keep it clean and fresh

Common sense dictates that people do not like a dirty house. Regularly clean your home and use air fresheners to maintain a fresh scent.

3. Think Spacious.

Remove any clutter and excess furniture. Consider renting a storage unit to store items not being used.

4. Remove yourself.

In order to increase the comfort level of prospective buyers, it is best to leave your home any time you show it. Also remove any pets.

5. Secure your valuables.

Protect yourself from theft. Consider a safe deposit box for storing easily picked up valuables while selling your home.
